Red Wine and Weight Loss....Who Would Have Thunk It?

Most of you know how much I LOVE red wine, but I'm also on a lifetime quest to continue to healthy.  I define being healthy in the sense of physical, mental and financial realms.  You can't imagine how EXCITED I was to stumble upon some data that not only suggests, but proves that having 2 glasses of wine before bed assists in weight loss.  How you ask?  Well let me tell you.

According to two studies from both
Washington State University and Harvard Medical School, it could be the answer to your weight loss woes.  Look at the data...

Resveratrol is a polyphenol in red wine that transforms "white fat" into "beige fat."  Beige fat is much easier to burn off than white fat, according to research at Washington State University.  The Harvard study took a different approach and studied 20,000 women over a 13 year period and determined that those who drank two glasses of wine daily were 70% less likely to be overweight.  Come on somebody!!

Since resveratrol also helps to suppress the appetite, you're less likely to go on a food binge after drinking a couple of glasses.  A lot of folks have the biggest snacking issues at night.  In addition to helping you feel full and suppressing the appetite, I'm sure you'll sleep pretty good too.
