This is a Southern Keto Approved favorite. The succelent taste of a New York Strip steak is second to none. Being on Keto definitely has its benefits, but it also has its challenges. It's so important to make sure you're not eliminating food without swapping out or replacing them with other foods that are low in carb.
Most programs fail because of the unrealistic restrictions. Even if a person does really well on the program while on it, once the program ends, most people go back to the same bad habits of eating the wrong foods. With Keto, there are several foods you can "replace" with high carb foods and ensure you're successful.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE STEAK:
Rinse your steak and then season with Kosher salt, pepper and a bit of cajun seasoning. Heat your cast iron skillet to medium heat and add grape seed oil. Once the pan is hot, add the stead and get a nice sear on both sides. Once it has been seared and the juices are locked in, put the steak in the oven and cook to desired doneness.
INGREDIENTS FOR CAULIFLOWER RICE:
1 head of Cauliflower
Red and Yellow Peppers
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Wash the cauliflower and cut in to chunks. Put in a food processor and pulse until it looks like "rice."
Heat a non-stick skillet to medium heat and add a TBS of avocado butter (or any approved oil of your choice). Add the garlic, yellow and red peppers and sautee until it starts to tender. Add the riced cauliflower and stir fry it together. Add your seasoning and soy sauce and then top with the green onion and enjoy.
