Congratulations!! If you're on this step, that means you've successfully lost the desired weight and you've transitioned moderate glycemic foods back in to your diet. Ideally, you want to aim for a plate of food that is about 40% protein, 30% fat and 30% carbs.
This is similar to what you did when you were losing the weight, with the exception of the fact that you can have more moderate glycemic foods. We never suggest high gycemic foods. This balance of food groups is critical for proper nutrition and optimizes all the functions in your body.
As you add in foods that you have not had in quite some time, remember to watch rapid water weight gain. If this happens to you, think about the food you ate in the preceding day and be aware that you may have a food intlerance. Certainly water retention could have contributed to your salt and activity level, but food intolerances/allergies are an often overlooked reason for swelling.
Continue to take your supplements. They are the best defense against weight creeping back on you.
